Short Update Number 1: Acquisitions and More!
// Sometimes I am just way too busy...
This is a quick update I am writing about what's going on in my life and the projects I have been taking on.
So I know I don't have the most consistent update schedule, honestly that's just down to general laziness. I tend to forget about my blog and writing takes a little bit to commit to. However I guess a blessing in disguise has occurred.
My dryer broke meaning I have to go to the local laundromat now. This means I now have a free hour a few times a month. So now I am gonna be able to write more often.
This means I am going to try to have a bit more consistent updates and maybe I'll finally get around to actually editing footage for my dead YouTube channel. I tried multiple times, but actually sitting down and editing footage is hard, I respect those who do it.
Anyway, I Should probably properly introduce myself. My name is Ian and I work in the IT field on the U.S. East Coast. I work in a service desk position of an MSP, which is perfect considering my hobby. Sometimes I get offered old computers that are being decommissioned. Its a pretty great gig that helps fuel my unending need to surround myself with old half functional computers.
Speaking of which I have acquired some great machines over the past few months.
Macs:
IIci
SE/30
Powerbook G4
PowerBook 190cs
Powerbook 5300cs
PCs:
Unisys 486 Desktop
IBM 5160 XT
HP Pavilion 6735
HP Pavilion 6736
There is quite a lot that has been going on, especially with the current state of the planet. I will keep trying to update this in a timely manner, but I doubt I will get a consistent schedule down. As I find and fix cool things I will try to update this blog.
In the mean time I hope everyone had a great holiday season and here's to a great 2021!
Oh one more thing, it finally happened...
The Mac Mini died again, maybe roasting it again will fix it?
